Kabuli Chickpeas Production In Madhya Pradesh for 2018 Crop, Total Seeded area approx 330-350 K Hectares & with yield of 1.45-1.50 MT /Ha, Production estimates is 525 K MT +/- 5%. Out of this 45%, 225 K MT Approx. are bigger sizes 14-11 MM ( 38-46 AO) and Rest 55%, 300 K MT are smaller sizes 10-7 MM (46-90 AO).
Production other Varieties of white chickpeas / Spaniola / Coc 2 / PK V2 in State of Madhya Pradesh , Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh is 250 K MTON , This varieties are small in size, Majorly 7 – 7.5 MM (70-90 AO), consumed locally and export to Pakistan & middle east.
Imports for 2018 is supposed to be negligible because of 40 + 4% = 44% Import Duty on all white varieties of Garbanzo beans.
